Blog Update #2:

Rory Hines, Mens Lacrosse
This Piece is my first poster for sports that i've done that steps out of my comfort zone. I wanted to really challenge my creativity and bring a different perspective to what sports edits are all about. This is a piece that I plan on working on a bit more. I wanted to use this piece as a way to add more variety to my collection I will make for this project. I got my inspiration from thinking about fashion magazines. They are all very unique in their own ways, and I was inspired by how they use fonts and words in their posters. I really wanted to incorporate the idea of how I can display the athletes name on my own posters in a more creative way. Next, i plan on making Rory pop out more and be shown in front of the letters. Also, i want to play around with more fonts and also fix the spacing of each line of letters.

Max Anderson, Mens Lacrosse
This piece was done to incorporate the actual college logo in a creative way.  I really enjoyed this picture of Max and really enjoyed the setting of this particular photo. I used the blur tool in photoshop around Max to help him pop out more in this photo. I want to next make the field and the surrounding players black and white. I want to keep Max in his uniform in color to show the colors of the school on his actual jersey to match the Lycoming "L" logo behind him. I am definitely open to suggestions about placement, font choice, and any other ways i can make this poster better to have room for personal improvement with new ides.

Brandon Waden, Mens Lacrosse
when doing this piece, I was inspired by how much Brandon loved his hometown, and where he is from. I wanted to make sure I conveyed that in this piece. I plan on incorporating more stuff in this piece relating to his hometown and the high school in which he went too. I feel the signature makes this piece more personal to Brandon. I want to show his culture in Rochester and what that place is about for someone who has maybe never been to upstate New York. I plan on putting some other words and saying to play around with fonts and typography.
